If your mind can conceive it and your heart can believe it, you can achieve it.” This statement is congruent with the mission, principles, and values of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA).
The NBMBAA leads in the creation of educational opportunities and economic opportunities for Black professionals. Members enjoy value networking opportunities with over 12,500 active members in 40 chapters across the country.
The NBMBAA Dayton, Ohio Chapter was organized in 1984 by a group of professionals from the former General Motors Corporation. Incorporated in 1989, the Dayton Chapter has a history of providing its members with professional development, networking, and career opportunities. The NBMBAA Dayton Chapter has an amazing team of experienced professionals committed to implementing programs and events in accordance with the mission and goals of the NBMBAA.
The NBMBAA Dayton Chapter organizes and runs a variety of professional events that lead in the creation of education- al, wealth building, and growth opportunities for those historically under- represented throughout their careers as students, entrepreneur,s and professionals. Under the leader-ship of Co-founder and President of the Dayton Chapter, Mrs. Barbara Stewart Bostick continues to propel the chapter to new heights of Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Excellence. President Bostick and her executive team remain committed to making an impactful and sustainable difference in the communities in which the members reside, work, and serve.
The NBMBAA hosted its 44th Annual Conference and Exposition in Atlanta, GA at the Georgia World Congress Center September 27th- October 1st. The theme was, “A Promise Kept”. Students and Early Career Professionals take advantage of more than 250 For-tune 1000 companies, interviewing and hiring on site. Mid-Career Professionals and Managers get the professional development they need to drive their careers forward and make key connections to expand their networks. Senior Leaders take advantage of targeted development opportunities, connect to their next great hire, and help the next generation of leaders advance.
President Bostick represented the Dayton Chapter at this year’s conference and is also a proud Legacy member of the NBMBAA. She excitedly and graciously returned from the conference with three distinguished awards from the NBMBAA: Chapter of the Year Award, Education Award, and Leader-ship Award. The Day-ton chapter received the Membership Award in 2021.
