Montgomery County Opens $2 million Employment Opportunity Center

On Wednesday October 27th the City of Dayton celebrated the completion of Montgomery County’s newest workforce development facility: The Employment Opportunity Center at Westown Shopping Center, located at Westown Shopping Center, 4303 W. Third St.

This location will give people in the West Dayton community access to job search help, training opportunities, free community spaces, and Montgomery County’s youth mentor programs. Outfitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual and computer technology, the Employment Opportunity Center will be a central point of the area for businesses, nonprofits, and community groups.

Sinclair College and Miami Valley CTC will also be involved. MVCTC is bringing some of their Aspire high school equivalency programs to the center, and Sinclair is subleasing space inside the facility to have training from their Computer and Information Systems department.
